Our History

Outback Independent Living (OIL) is a non-profit organisation registered with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading as an incorporated association. We are made up of a group of passionate individuals, parents of a child with a disability and local RAPAD community members. 

OIL was formed in 2019 with like-minded people, with a family member with a disability. We believe that people with a disability belong and thrive in Outback Queensland. OIL supports these individuals on their NDIS journey, partners with organisations for support and advocates with key decision makers to deliver services and support.
